Sustainable development

Races Courses get involved in a politic of sustainable development.

Each year, Races improve their commitment for sustainable development by reducing use of plastics bottles and bags, reducing the use of paper and by developing the use of electric car. In 2012, we are offering a self-service instead of food bag for the finish line. Besides, we are noticing a enhancement of application through the net and less by paper.

Economique :

• Using the Strasbourg water network
• Partnership with Celtic, la COOP Alsace, Intermarché. .

Social :

• A couple of actions will be made in order to make children more aware of environment. These actions will set up in our Partner Village for the Festival of Sport, the 12 of May.
• More than 800 volunteers work on the Strasbourg Races. This new edition will allow us to extend our volunteer team. Epileptic people supervised by professional will join us.
• Strong partnership with the charity HUMANIS

Environnemental :

• Clean vehicles 
   
• Clean transport (trams, bicycles)
   
• Recycling rubbish 
   
• Using the Strasbourg water network
   
• Activities for children to raise awareness
